Asian Frozen Eggs Fertilization Guaranteed Program Policy

Patients need to meet ALL following conditions to join Fertilization Guaranteed Program：

• 1. This policy is applicable to clinics/laboratories that are accredited by Asian Frozen Eggs.
• 2. This policy is applicable when patient(s) purchases no less than 8 mature frozen oocytes (MII) at a time.
• 3. This policy is applicable when the quality of the sperm sample(s) is no worse than Reference Value for Human Semen Characteristics by World Health Organization, 5th edition, 2010,Appendix I.
• 4. This policy is applicable when DNA Fragmentation Rate of the sperm sample(s) is less than 20%.
• 5. This policy is applicable to patient(s) with a fertilization rate less than 67% out of all purchased MIIs.
• 6. This policy is applicable when all embryos created from the purchase has been successfully transferred and no clinical pregnancy has achieved.  (B-Hcg Test result lesser than 30 IU/L, 14 days post transfer)

Technical Guidelines

• 1. The embryology laboratory that manipulates frozen gametes should follow the Standard Operation Protocol provided by Asian Frozen Eggs strictly in MII thawing procedure.
• 2. The embryology laboratory that manipulates frozen gametes should only use ICSI as fertilization method.
• 3. Normal fertilization refers to 2 pronuclei fertilization 16-20 hours after the sperm being injected into recovered oocytes.
• 4. The guideline recovery rate is 90% out of all mature frozen MII.
• 5. The guideline fertilization rate is 75% out of recovered MII.
• 6. The guideline fertilization rate is 67% out of all mature frozen MII.

Compensation Policy

• 1. Each purchase is only eligible for one replacement.
• 2. In failed/partially failed fertilization cases, Asian Frozen Eggs will replace a number of MIIs in accordance to the fertilization result.
  2.1 When the fertilization rate is between 50%-67%, Asian Frozen Eggs shall replace 20% of the total number of MIIs purchased.
  2.2 When the fertilization rate is between 25%-50%, Asian Frozen Eggs shall replace 40% of the total number of MIIs purchased.
  2.3 When the fertilization rate is lower than 25%, Asian Frozen Eggs shall replace 100% of the total number of MIIs purchased.
  2.4 Appendix II demonstrate individual cases explicitly.
• 3. Asian Frozen Eggs does not guarantee that the replacement MIIs are from the same egg donor as their initial purchase.
